Just sent an e-mail. Hope it goes through. I tried to sound as polite as possible while still saying how much I wanted the copies and how I was willing to spend money on them. Do you think it was a bit much to ask them to also check over their translations to make sure they don't make mistakes?

@JB2448: I know there's the petition in place, but how exactly do we get them to get the other arcs out?
Honestly, we can't. All we can do at this point is hope for the best.

How many people need to sign the petition for Viz to notice our request? I already sign it a long time ago I can't believe Viz still hasn't made up their minds for releasing RS, FRLG and emerald arc. Seriously those are the arc's most of us were hoping to get.

@Dreamingflower: Same here! I signed the petition about two months ago! And there's over 500 signatures, so why can't VIZ simply notice it and start translating again? Those three arcs are some of the best arcs in the whole series. Forget DPPt and BW for now, what about the three that were the best?

While 500 signatures may seem like a lot, it's really nothing in terms of sales figures. Let's use ponies as an example. (Hold the moaning.) Since the end of season 1 back in May, bronies have always wanted a boxset of the season to own on DVD. Sadly, despite how huge the brony movement is, they just can't be sure how many would actually be committed to sales, and a boxset still hasn't come out.
Yes, a boxset would be more expensive to produce than a manga copy, but when we're talking 15 volumes in the middle of the series, well... we'll probably have to wait until who knows how many years for RSEmakes to come out if Viz wants to wait on their hype in order to maximize their profits. (Just stuff on marketing that I've picked up, so feel free to tear my arguments apart if you actually know about it.)

@Chika Absolutely right, the GSC saga was translated only because of the HGSS games. It's all about marketing. If we have a RS or Emerald remake (or a new game in Hoenn, my biggest wish) the fourth chapter will suddenly be profitable to VIZ.

I've run into wild Jigglypuff on route 14, Oddish can be caught in White forest (white version only of course), and Poliwag can be caught in a variety of places with the super rod. Pikachu is the only one you can't catch in Unova but it's a pretty popular Pokemon and the series mascot so I think it's even be popular in the Pokemon world (there's big balloon Pikachu in Nimbasa). You all should be more like black and study harder.

2012-May-19 14:30:13 Lolipiece said: Exactly. The Platinum chapter is focused on Platinum's search for Paka and Uji, and the Battle Frontier is just something on the side, which makes it a reverse of the Emerald chapter.
